Make almond milk at home

By Trainer Sabrina

This is one of the things I get asked about the most, how to make your own homemade almond milk.

My kids love the homemade almond milk, they have always refused to drink almond milk from the store since the homemade was the first they were exposed to. If you are counting macros, homemade in general has more protein in it since more almonds are used to make it.

It’s very easy and delicious once you get the hang of it.

  1. You soak 1 cup organic raw almonds in water for 12 – 24 hours.

  2. Rinse the almonds and add them to a blender with 4 cups of water and 2 medjool dates.

  3. Blend for 2 – 3 minutes depending on the strength of your blender and then strain the milk through a nut milk bag.

  4. Place the milk in a glass jar or bottle and keep in the fridge. Should stay fresh for about 5 days or so.

There are flavor variations (vanilla, etc.) that you can also make, but just adding the 2 dates is our favorite.

Enjoy! Trainer Sabrina
