I’ve been working with Jessica for three times a week and feel great, terrific, and wonderful. Until now, these are words that I haven’t been able to use to describe how I felt since February 2001 when I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Until that time, I had been fit, slim and had a very high energy level. My treatment involved 4 surgeries including a mastectomy and removal of 16 lymph nodes. After my lymph nodes were removed, I was given a list of physical restrictions in order to prevent getting lymphodema. I was instructed to do some stretching and very low level exercises, but it didn’t seem like enough for me. I felt weak and old, my balance had become very poor and I just felt as though I were deteriorating. I made a conscious decision to become much more physical, to work out and to use my right arm as if I were “normal” again.
And then I found Jessica. She has been extremely patient with me, especially in the beginning, when I couldn’t do anything. But even in those early sessions, she knew how to push me to just beyond the point where I thought that I could do no more. I am now doing over 60 push-ups, very tough crunches, all kinds of weight work and boxing! I have progressed to the point where these sessions are very hard, but I never feel stiff or sore the next day because Jess knows how to do really effective stretching at the end of each session, I sweat buckets of perspiration, but it all feels so good-and so right for me. It makes me feel so alive.
There is no way that I could have attained my new level of fitness without Jess’s guidance, support and expertise. She is very sweet, but in a very sweet way has you doing really tough things. She is wonderful. If I could do this, anyone reading this can. If there is any part of your body that you can move, Jess will make sure that you move it to the highest level that is possible for you. I still have a long way to go, but finally I am looking forward to a higher and higher level of fitness and feeling better and better every day. By the way, even when I was fit, I could never do even one push-up. When I go for my next oncology follow up appointment, when the doctor walks into the exam room, I plan to drop to the floor and do 20 push-ups! The inches are shrinking off and people keep asking me if I’ve lost weight. And a lot of people are telling me that I look a lot more toned. Most importantly, I feel so much better-fit and young again and I am now 55. In the last two weeks, I’ve noticed that when people ask me how I am feeling, I have been able to say “terrific” and that is something I had given up all hope of ever saying again. Thank you Jess! *

I am preparing for knee replacement surgery, but I have been going to Storm Fitness for almost 10 years – 3 times a week. Sometimes I go to their facility and sometimes they come to my home and either is great! They bring all the equipment that is necessary for an amazing in home workout!
Through my physician, I was also directed to physical therapy to prepare my knee for my surgery. Believe me, they don’t compare to my trainer and confidant, Jessica, Who’s knowledge and understanding of the human body and how it works, far surpasses any physical therapist I have worked with before! I will continue to work with her prior to the surgery date and as soon as I can after surgery to get me back to my very active lifestyle.
I would be remiss in not discussing the first day I met with Jessica Storm and how she changed my life that day in June almost 10 years ago. I was suffering at that sate with a very arthritic knee and had just taken a fall down a flight of stairs, so I had to cancel my first appointment. She recommended that I ice it and give her a call in a couple of days and that I did. My knee had been bad for many years and I had very little flexibility so she had her work cut out for her.
I have been seeing her 3 days a week since that wonderful day we started and though I am 10 years older, I am 10x’s stronger than I ever was and MUCH healthier. I also have been suffering with Lyme disease and she was persistent in not letting me give up and continuing to work out. Even if it wasn’t at the same pace, she always adjusted the workouts accordingly. I will admit that sometimes just her advice, conversation and encouragement got me through those very difficult times.
She always challenges your body, but with caution and understanding and she listens to your concerns. Not only has she worked on my physicality, but on my nutrition and encouraged healthy eating habits. She also works with my husband who suffers with back problems and he will ALWAYS say that Jessica keeps him going. She knows his trigger points and has exactly the right exercise or therapy to put a smile back on his face and a strut in his step.
I could go on and on about how she has helped us both so much, but instead I would recommend that you do one session with her or one of her trainers at Storm Fitness and you will be hooked for life and changed for the better, just like me! *
