Fitness Assessment and Goal Setting
Personal training with Storm Fitness starts with fitness
assessments and goal setting. Our trainers will perform
girth measurements and provide you with body fat percentage
at your request. We will also test your muscular endurance
and flexibility. Once your current level of fitness has
been assessed, your trainer will work with you to set your
fitness goals.
Cardiovascular
Training
Cardiovascular training will focus on target heart-rate
training (where you train within your range of maximum benefit)
and interval training (mixing brief bursts of higher intensity
work with longer periods of lower intensity recovery). It
can be machine-based, indoors or outdoors, and can include
circuit training, running and even hiking. Storm Fitness
will recommend a form of cardio training that is enjoyable
and keeps you motivated.
Strength
Training
Resistance training will include a variety of disciplines
including a combination of free weights, machine-based training,
Swiss ball training, resistance bands, balance boards, medicine
balls, mat work and manual resistance. This keeps things
fun and varied and gives our clients a healthy toned body.
Circuit
& Interval Training
A time-efficient workout simultaneously delivering the benefits
of a cardio session with those of a strength training session.
There is no rest in the circuit program which will create
a supercharged calorie burning workout. This program is
also based around multi-joint, multi-muscle exercises, otherwise
known as functional exercise. These functional exercises
(such as performing a squat with a shoulder press) will
spread the benefit around your body and make you fit for
activities you perform in your every day life. This is a
great approach for those who already understand the basics
of strength training, have a limited amount of time for
workouts and need to fit both cardio and strength training
into one session.
Sport
Specific Training
Depending on the sport you are training for, sport specific
movements will be used to bring you to a new level in your
sport. We will use Plyometric exercises to increase your
range of motion and build your strength. If you're looking
to break records or reach a new level, this training is
for you.
Pilates
& Yoga
Pilates movements will assist in building your core strength
and provide variety to traditional abdominal work. Yoga
movements are incorporated throughout the session to strengthen
the low back and hamstrings and help aid in flexibility
and relaxation throughout the session.
Stretching
and Flexibility
Flexibility training is more than just injury prevention.
Whether you're a serious competitor or training for personal
benefit, proper stretching during and after your workout
will improve your performance, increase your flexibility,
and make you feel better. Storm Fitness will provide you
with 10-15 minutes of assisted stretching after your workout.
Exercise
Program Design
Our trainers will work with you to design your own customized
fitness program that you can follow when you are away from
us. All strength training and cardio exercises are written
out in full detail in a day by day workout plan.
Corporate
Wellness Programs & Seminars
Our corporate wellness programs include lunch and learns,
health fairs, corporate conditioning, personal training,
small group training, running programs and nutritional services.

Nutritional
Counseling/Meal Plans/RMR Testing
There are two sides to a healthier lifestyle, exercise and
nutrition. That's why Storm Fitness is your number one choice
for all of your health and wellness needs. Our nutritional
counseling services are an essential component to your training
and exercise regimen. Our Licensed Nutritionist will give
you the support and guidance you need so that all of your
goals can be reached. Based on your fitness goals, your
current diet will be analyzed to assess if you are on the
right track to get the body you desire. For example, if
your goal is weight loss, recommendations would be made
on how to obtain a leaner body by addressing the types of
food you should be eating, the types of liquid you should
be ingesting as well as the times of day you should be eating.
Diets seldom work and are difficult to maintain - people
end up putting back on all the weight plus extra pounds.
Storm Fitness Licensed Nutritionists and Trainers will help
you understand which foods will help you reach your fitness

Metabolism Testing and Initial Nutrition Assessment: $125.00
What is Metabolism Testing: Achieving your ideal weight begins with finding the right balance of
exercise and caloric intake, but each person's balance is unique. The cutting edge technology of
the MedGem® enables our nutritionist to establish an accurate calorie budget specifically for YOU
so you can successfully achieve your weight loss goals. The MedGem® RMR Tester is an FDA-cleared
device that scientifically measures resting metabolism, or the number of calories a person burns
at rest each day. Metabolism can vary greatly from person to person and whether an individual's
goals are weight loss, improved fitness, or even weight maintenance, an accurate metabolism reading
is the key to success. The metabolism reading will help to determine how many calories you should
be eating each day to maintain, gain or lose your weight.
What's Included: A 90 minute metabolism assessment will include the MedGem® metabolic
test. Our nutritionist will then assess your health history, diet intake and health goals to help you
determine the amount of calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals you need in your
diet.
Note: The MedGem® metabolism measurement may be scheduled at any time but it is
important to avoid caffeine and not eat, drink (water is OK) or exercise 4 hours before the test.
The Meal Plan Package: $340.00
Includes:
- 3 nutrition meetings including a 1 hour nutrition assessment and a thorough dietary analysis
- Metabolism Testing
- Meal Plan
- Two 45 minute follow-up nutrition appointments
Clients will meet with our nutritionist for a total of 3 sessions. The first session will be 90 minutes
in length. During this time, our nutritionist will take your unique metabolic reading with the MedGem®
metabolic test and will then assess your health history, diet intake and health goals. Our nutritionist
will then help you determine the amount of calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals
you need in your diet. At the second 45 minute session you will receive your personalized meal plan.
There will then be another 45 minute follow-up session to check your progress for a total of 3 nutritional
meetings.
Follow-Up Nutrition Sessions: $80.00
Following our metabolism testing or meal plan program, clients can meet with our nutritionist for 45 minute
follow-up sessions as needed.
Weight Loss Program
Our weight loss program is a combination of nutrition counseling, real food and meal replacement products
customized to meet your health and weight loss needs. Combining 2 or more of these three components have
helped our patients lose more weight than other weight loss methods they have tried in the past, and have
helped many become free of their blood pressure and adult onset diabetes medications. Our program is easy
to follow, more cost effective than traditional nutrition counseling methods and our patients see immediate
results without hunger.
What to expect: Our weight loss program includes an initial nutrition assessment and weekly nutrition
sessions with our licensed nutritionist divided into 3 phases: weight loss, transition, and weight maintenance.
Support meetings are optional.
Nutrition Assessment: At your nutrition assessment, our nutritionist will ask you a variety of health
questions and design a weight loss program that is specific to your weight loss goals and health issues.
Patients participating in our weight loss program receive complimentary metabolism testing at office visits.

Policies
& Info
Workout sessions last 55-60 minutes and include 10-15 minutes
of assisted stretching. Workouts can be scheduled on a flexible
or standing appointment basis.
REFER A FRIEND PROGRAM
Refer a friend to Storm Fitness, LLC and receive a FREE training
session. New referral must purchase a minimum of 6 sessions.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled workout
will result in a charge of a work out session against the client's
account. Workouts can be rescheduled earlier or later in that
day without a charge, pending availability.
Payment Policy for One on One Training
Both cash and check are acceptable forms of payment. Payment
can be made after each workout session or in installments for
the packages of 12 and 24 and 50. Installments for the package
of 12 are 2 installments and will be collected after the first
and sixth sessions. Installments for the package of 24 are 3
installments and will be collected after the first, eighth and
sixteenth sessions. Installments for the package of 50 are 5
installments and will be collected after the first, tenth, twentieth,
thirtieth and fortieth sessions. Sessions are non refundable
after a five day time period and must be used within 1 year
from date of purchase or shall be forfeited.
Payment Policy for Couples and Group Training
Both cash and check are acceptable forms of payment. Payment
can be made after each workout session or in monthly installments
for the number of sessions planning to be used for the month.
For example, if a group chose to train two times a week for
the month of January, individually they would make a payment
for 8 sessions at the beginning of the month. Sessions are non
refundable after a five day time period and must be used within
1 year from date of purchase or shall be forfeited.
Payment Policy for Nutrition & Special Packages
Both cash and checks are acceptable forms of payment. Special
packages must be paid full in full before date of service. 24
hour cancellation policy applies to all nutrition and special
packages pricing. Sessions are non refundable after a five day
time period and must be used within 1 year from date of purchase
or shall be forfeited.
Online Refund Policy: All online purchases
are final and non-refundable.

services.
All checks should be made out to Storm Fitness, LLC.
Note: Some nutrition and exercise services
that aid in weight loss or other disease management may be tax
deductible and/or covered by your health insurance. Check with
your accountant/tax advisor as well as your insurance company
for further information on coverage and deductibility.

Storm
Fitness is a unique personal training company located in Reston,

and in group settings. Training is available in the privacy
of your own home, at the Storm Fitness studio located in Reston,
VA and at local community fitness centers. Our highly qualified
instructors have some of the highest credentials found in the
fitness industry. Certified by ACSM and NSCA, the trainers continually
receive on-going education in the most advanced and up to date
techniques in strength and conditioning training as well as
nutrition counseling.
Storm
Fitness provides top of the line equipment and uses functional
exercises to get our clients entire body into shape all while
having fun at the same time! Balance boards, bands, free weights,
machines, swiss balls, medicine balls, manual resistance and
your own body weight are just some of the equipment and techniques

| What
to Expect |
At
Storm Fitness, we like to spend the first session really getting
to know you. Because of this, the first session will typically
last longer than 60 minutes so that we can spend extra time to
discuss your training needs and goals as well as address any medical
concerns you may have. We want you to feel comfortable and that
means us getting to know you no matter how long it takes!
We will go over a liability form and medical history questionnaire
in detail with you and answer any questions you might have before
we begin our training session. The first session is usually a
gentle one as it's a time for our trainers to get an understanding
of where you stand physically, as well as a time for you to get
comfortable with the trainer and understand our unique training
style. This is also a good time to discuss any physical limitations
or concerns you might have such as knee, neck or back problems.
Depending on the degree of the injury, clearance by your doctor
may be requested before beginning training. The training session
will end with 10-15 minutes of assisted stretching which helps
to cool the body down and keeps the muscles long, lean and flexible.
At the end of the session we will discuss your program objectives
and give you some fitness homework. Once you become familiar with
the exercises we expect that you will also incorporate training
on your own. Your trainer will discuss with you the balanced cardio
and strength program they have designed for you and you will be
expected to carry out certain aspects of this balanced exercise
program on your own. The end of the session is also the time when
we can discuss recommendations in your diet, session packages
and appointment times or any other questions that might be on
your mind.
At the client's request, measurements and body fat percentage
will be taken. This was once a standard practice; however, we
found that many clients were overly focused on their body fat
percentage number which often times lead to poor self-esteem when
they were only in the early stages of their fitness program. Instead,
Storm Fitness wants our clients focused on their fitness goals
such as improved flexibility, increased strength and additional
vitality….the loss in body fat comes along with all of this
naturally.
Because we are a firm believer in the mind/body connection, we
prefer to focus on girth measurements and the fit of your clothes.
That said, we are willing to take body fat measurements if this
is something you would like in your program and feel would benefit
you. Our goal is to keep you in a healthy frame of mind - one
that is positive and goal oriented. You can only achieve what
you believe and we want to make a believer out of you!
